Melos Music Player
Melos is a simple offline music player that uses your phone’s local music library, built for people who prefer to download and own their music.
Melos started as a side project after I noticed that several of my friends still download and keep their own music. They prefer owning their music files and listening offline, but many of the local music players they used felt dated, cluttered, or unnecessarily complicated. I wanted to make a music player that gave downloaded music the same kind of polished experience people expect from modern streaming apps.
Melos uses the music already stored on your phone as its library. It provides a simple interface for browsing tracks, creating playlists, searching your collection, and controlling playback, along with features like lyrics, recent listening, playlist artwork, and a persistent mini-player. The scope is intentionally simple: Melos is a modern music player for people who already have the music they want to listen to.
